I had (hyper-v 2008 R2) install on disk 1 by itself. i also have Adaptec 5805
RAID controller with 5 Disk, 1TB each with RAID 6 configured when i run admin consol (scvmm, or else) from my client PC, I can see my disk one but i can't see my RAID, do I need drivers or something? logging into the server itself (hyper-v 2008 R2), i can't see the RAID also. any thought? SeaMan |

Yes. you will likely need a driver.
http://www.adaptec.com/en-US/support...raid/SAS-5805/ Try the 2008 driver since there is no 2008R2 driver. -- Geoff N. Thanks for the reply. I will try it today.
do you think there is a risk on my RAID partitions/configurations? another question is that do you think i can keep building up my VMs and later i have to install the release of hyper-v 2008 R2 safely? Your RAID partitions should be OK.
You will need to export your VMs before upgrading, then import them after the upgrade. -- Geoff N.
