Hi
I have an 8 GB laptop which is currently running Windows 2008 r2. The laptop currently is join to our company network and one of their policy to is to disable ICS. The issues that I am having are: a) I am unable to setup a virtual network so that it can use the Host internet connection, but I it keep showing that the administrator has disable the Internet Sharing Connection ICS. b) I am also trying to let the Hyper-V image access to the Host machine share folder or the reverse, but not luck either. any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you Tomas |

Questions: -what do you mean by "join to Co network"? - is the host w008 R2 joined to Co domain? sounds like you are running under domain policy enforcement. - or simply have your laptop plug in the physical network as standalone server? - do you have two physical network connections from your laptop as recommended? I have not used the r2 yet but with the w2008 std, I as able to use one physical network connection (single NIC) for the host as well as the VMs.but then the VMs are on the same network (subnet) as the rest of the company. Some VMs are actually joined to the file server and domain like the real PC while other VM's are not joined. All have internet connection including the host. I did not have to configure ICS there is a way to isolate the vm network from the rest - local "Tomas" <Tomas@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E7C4737A-C8CB-4EEF-A846-148709D28448@microsoft.com... > Hi > > I have an 8 GB laptop which is currently running Windows 2008 r2.
