Default VHD FDISK

When creating a VM, I am using an image(DVD disk) that runs
FDISK(partitioning) first before it loads the OS(Win 2k3 server). Will FDISK
on the VHD affect the parent? Is FDISK necessary or should I skip this step?

Default Re: VHD FDISK

No, FDISK in a virtual machine will not affect the parent, and yes, the
FDISK step is necessary.
