Default Using Windows Virtual PC to stage for Hyper-V

I would like to use Windows Virtual PC running on Win 7 to build VHDs for
deployment into my Hyper-V cluster.

Any issues/problems with doing this? Should I uninstall the ICs before I
move the VHD or are they compatible between these products? Will the OS choke
due to HAL or other "hardware" differences between virtual machines?

Thanks,
Robert

Yes, you should uninstall the IC's as they are not compatible.

You shouldn't have HAL problems going from VPC to Hyper-V, but you would
going the other way. Expect to have to reactivate...

to avoid wasted activation, one could hold off activation till migrated to
HV unless ti takes a long time to have everything tested out in vpc.

I would get by with the min OS installation in VPC and migrate.
