Hello everyone,
I would intend to implement two Hyper-V in clusters, with 6 virtual machine. I would like to implement a high availability on all VMs, in case of failure HW, SW and in case of failure and/or one of the VM. I wish that if a VM on Hyper-V 1 crashes, the same VM on Hyper-V 2 went online, restoring service. Can i do this with 2008R2 SCVMM and Hyper-V cluster? If, yes, please can you give me some links / doc ? Thank you all. |

Hey Mino,
yes - this is possible. You need two servers connected to an ISCSI or FiberChannel based storage. Then you install the Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise Servers as a Cluster with Hyper-V Role see also http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...8WS.10%29.aspx Greets, Matthias "Mino" wrote: > Hello everyone, > I would intend to implement two Hyper-V in clusters, with 6 virtual machine. > > I would like to implement a high availability on all VMs, in case of failure > HW, SW and in case of failure and/or one of the VM. > > I wish that if a VM on Hyper-V 1 crashes, the same VM on Hyper-V 2 went > online, restoring service. > > Can i do this with 2008R2 SCVMM and Hyper-V cluster? > > If, yes, please can you give me some links / doc ? > > Thank you all. |
