Default Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 BSOD STOP 0x0000007E

Hi Guys/Girls

I'm having a problem with my clean install of Hyper-V Server 2008 R2.

Once i enable the 2 options in the BIOS for virtulisation i get a bsod with
STOP 0x0000007E error message. The server is an HP DL360 G5.

I have found the KB article 974598, and i tried installing this hotfix on
the server but is says it not applicable for this machine.

Any ideas?

Make sure that you have installed all the current HP firmware upgrades
available for your system, including for the RAID controller and for the
iLO.

I have checked with the latest firmware cd (8.30) from HP, and everything is
up-to-date.

Hi,

The update is applies to full version of windows Server 2008. not applicable
for hyper V 2008 R2 2 (free edition). You can try windows update and patches
the system. Besides that, may be you should upgrade your BIOS and download
the latest chipset.
