auto-attach usb device on booting virtual pc

Hi, I have some software for my printer. This software need a usb
hardware key to work and I need attach this usb all the time in
Virtual PC.
So, I can't use this application in XPmode.

My question is: It's possible to configure automatic attach this usb
key on boot wirtual machine/xp mode?
This key is only for this software, so I don't need them in my Win7.

I found some powershell script for this, but I have no idea how should
I use it...
