Hi All, In my environment, I am having SMS 2003 infrastructure. Everyrhing was going fine. Today I found in status messages, sms_executive is in installing state. My last backup was also successful. Please suggest some action. For your reference, I am giving error log: 1. SMS Site Component Manager failed to reinstall this component on this site system. Solution: Review the previous status messages to determine the exact reason for the failure. SMS Site Component Manager will automatically retry the reinstallation in 60 minutes. To force SMS Site Component Manager to immediately retry the reinstallation, stop and restart SMS Site Component Manager using the SMS Service Manager. 2. SMS Site Component Manager could not stop the SMS_EXECUTIVE service on site system "\\sms20001". Possible cause: SMS Site Component Manager does not have sufficient access rights to administer the site system. Solution: Verify that the Site System Connection accounts are properly configured to allow SMS to administer the site system. If this problem persists, refer to your SMS documentation or the Microsoft Knowledge Base for further troubleshooting information. But no changes done to the configuration of SMS server. Thanks & Regards, Kedar S Tamboli |

hi,
can you verify that no other installation is going on. I mean this installation might be in queue if previous one is not installed/finished. can you verify the log on client side also, check ccm and execmgr log, you might get some help from there. thanks "sms_executive is in installing state" <sms_executive is in installing state@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BC2A9F7E-5194-4186-A7BC-669C248FE7CF@microsoft.com... > Hi All, > > In my environment, I am having SMS 2003 infrastructure.
