Unable to deploy software based on AD groups SCCM 2007

I have a question regarding sccm 2007 not sure if this is the correct area to post this.?

The is basically i am having trouble deploying software to client workstations, BUT the issue only occurs thropugh AD group membership software distribution. (Example, if i add an AD group with members or a specific user to a collection software does not deploy, no errors being reported client server side that I can see? but when i deploy software by adding the client workstation account to a collection the software deployment works fine)

I have configured all the security, system discoveries and I am able to add and see those groups in the membership wizard within the collection.

When i run a report the report gives not information what so ever.

I am out of ideas in which direction I should head to rectify this issue.

Just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue or could help??
